Arazzo: Holiday House contains luxury studios and apartments. All are self contained, light and airy, fully equipped for self-catering including full size fridges and Cookers in the apartments, and 2 ring hobs in the studios. Air-conditioning and furnished balconies on 2 sides offer spectacular panoramic views across the Ionian Sea to the Pelopponese and Mount Skopje (landside).

(as the accommodiation is situated within a beautiful olivegrove) Ground floor apartments have been completely refurbished to a very high standard for 2009. Both apartments lead directly in to the garden, so is ideal for families with small children. This family run accommodation is the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
The house is located in a quiet area in Vassilikos village. It is located 150m from the long sandy beach Ionion-Banana. `Konstandinos` pool bar is equally close by if you prefer to swim in the pool. Offers free umbrellas and sun beds. We have a lovely garden with umbrellas and sun beds, BBQ and parking area for the guests to use. Vassilikos village is the only place from this island which has so many beautiful sandy beaches to choose all accessible on foot or by car. Many of them are near to the apartment.
Start by visiting Porto Zoro, Ionio, Banana, Agios Nikolaos, about 4-15 minutes walk from the apartment along the beach. Porto Rome, the famous Gerakas, and the great beach at Daphni about 3 kiliometers away. These wonderful, golden beaches with clear, shallow waters are ideal for adults and children and have a lot of options such as rain, sun beds for rent, scuba diving, water skiing, paragliding and sea bikes. Some of the water sports are not allowed at some of the beaches to protect the sea turtle.

The climate is mild even in Winter (15 - 25oC) This provides the wealth of fruit, vegetables and beautiful gardens.
There are several museums on the island. The patron saint is St.. .. Dennis, and the cathedral is a must visit whether you `re religious or not.

Zakynthos / Vassilikos area
Vassilikos is a quiet peninsular of the island of Zakynthos.
It reputedly hosts some of the best beaches in the Ionian Sea. Mainly sandy.
There are lovely walks along the 2 km beach, as well as hillside paths, with spectacular views over the Ionian to the Pelopponese.
There is a beach for everyone, from quiet to water sports.
Dafni and Gerakas beach 3 km away in the home of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, the conservation area for the loggerhead turtle.
There is an information center there, and visitors can watch the work the volunteers carry out. There are boat trips available to view the turtles, as well as circumnavigation trips.
Coach trips run from local pick up points and take guests around the island, and to Olympia and Athens, and it is also possible to take a day trip to Kefalonia.
To explore the beautiful island of Zakynthos the car will be helpful but not necessary. We keep a listing of car rentals and arrangements for quest pick-up at the airport can be made. The airport is 15 kilometers and the Seaport and town centers are12 kilometers away.

The northern end of the island is mountainous and rugged and dotted with small Villagers less influenced by tourism, excellent for walking excursions.
How to get at Zakynthos Island
The Island of Zakynthos, is one of the most accessible of the Greek Islands. It has an international airport operating all year round with domestic flights and international charter flights during the summer season from the end of April through to the end of October. Holidaymakers who want to fly to the island can either book directly with a charter flight during the summer period or you can fly to Athens with a scheduled airline, and then make a connection with a domestic flight with Olympic Airlines.
In the winter there is a daily service from Athens to Zakynthos with Olympic Airlines and in the summer months there are two flights per day. Charter seats can be found throughout the summer season by Contacting any of the large operators seat only or the more specialist operators who specialize in this field.
You can drive to Greece and Zante with your own car. Ferry services are available all year round to Patras from different ports of Italy, with a frequent and well serviced route to Greece by modern fast ferries giving the holidaymaker all the comforts. From Patras to Killin, the main harbor of the ferryboats to Zante is only 70 km. The ferry crossing from Killin to Zante, takes 1 hour and is again serviced by new large ferry boats. During the summer months there is also a direct ferry service from Italy to Zante once or twice a week.
You can fly to Athens with a connection to Zante.
A choice of hotel in Athens, economy or deluxe, for whatever duration you require, giving you the chance to visit Acropolis, Sounion, the museums, the sites of the Olympic Games of 2004 or any other places you wish to visit in this amazing Greek Capital with so much history. Then you have the option of an internal flight to Zante (this internal flight only takes about 40 minutes), or for the more adventurous the cheaper and possibly more interesting option is the bus service (KTEL) to Zante, a journey of about 4 hours to Killin (distance 295 kilometers), by new air conditioned coaches.
A daily service four times a day in the off season period and about 6 times a day during the summer months.
A journey passing through places like Corinth, Corinth Canal, Patras and many other places on the northern part of Peloponnese.
On the way back if you pick up the option again via Athens, the hotel can be arranged with the option of transfers and also with optional excursions like Athens by night, etc.. ..

Driving Directions
FROM THE PORT: As you leave from the main exit of the port you turn on the left, in about 300 meters you will see a small bridge with the river, you pass it and then turn again on the left and you will see a sign that says: to tan-Vassilikos, take that road and after 13 km at Vassilikos village on the main road at your right side you will see a patrol station.
Pass it and about 300meters you are at Potamia area. At your right side you find the fruit market at the left side of the fruit market there is a country road takes you to the sea.
Follow this road about 70m. and at your left you will see Arazzo accommodation.
FROM THE AIRPORT: As you exit from the main exit of the airport follow that wide road, at the end of that road, turn on the right and at the second traffic lights (approx 3.4 kilometers) turn again on the right and at about 70 meters you will see a small river with a bridge, you continue on that route and at the third traffic lights, turn again on the left. After two turns of the road you go straight towards tan-Vasiliki.
Hiking: The area is perfect for hiking all year round, but in Spring and Autumn the wild flowers carpet the fields and roadsides, and the temperatures can be more conducive to long hikes, so don `t limit your holiday to the summer months.
Water sports: St. Nicholas Beach has a huge choice available from paragliding, banana and ringo rides or diving. The reef here is also excellent for snorkelling with it `s underwater caves and even the chance to see octopus.
Boat trips: You can enjoy a relaxing day onboard the catamaran in the National Marine Park and learn about the turtles from the volunteers, and, hopefully, spot one in it `s natural habitat. A full day trip is available to sail round the island with several swim stops including one at the famous Shipwreck Beach. If you explore further afield by car, you can take a boat from Skinari (the most northerly point of the island) to visit the Shipwreck Beach, and swim or Snorkel in the Blue Caves. The sea here really is an unbelievable blue and a must to see. There is also a resident pod of monk seals in the area.
Coach Trips: Take a guided tour to see the beauty and diversity the island has to offer. Visit the famous craft village of Volimes, St. Dennis `monastery, and the platform perched on top of the cliffs above the Shipwreck Beach. If you fancy a more exhilarating trip, why not try the Jeep safari and see `hidden` Zakynthos. Explorer our neighboring Island Kefalonia with it `s high beautyfoul Mountains and coastline. Diving, riding, paragliding, swimming, walking and snorkelling. Zakynthos island offering museums and all other amenities. Day trips by boat are available to the mainland, Cephalonia and also to more seclude beaches around the island.
